Suggest Treatment For Chronic Cough

Question: hi doctor,

I am having cough since 6 months. sometimes I don't have it but then after few dates it again starts. I did my testings and nothing was found. some say it is elergic. can you suggest why I can't get rid from this disease. one doctor also advised that I should go for High definition CT Scan and that is costly. can you suggest whether it will help.

Mostly when I have cough. My body generates lots and lots of sputum. but there is no blood in the sputum.

please suggest which is the best hospital in XXXXXXX where I can get my treatment and this can be fixed. also suggest the best doctor in XXXXXXX The
best.

Yoy are having chronic cough with expectoration (sputum production).
It is commonly seen with bronchitis, asthma, bronchiectesis, lung infection like tuberculosis etc.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done
1. Clinical examination of respiratory system
2. PFT (pulmonary function test) to rule out bronchitis.
3. Sputum microscopic examination for tuberculosis and other lung infection.
CT scan can help but first let me know your chest x ray report.
Better to consult in medanta medicity XXXXXXX It is having good pulmonary department. I don't know names of doctors there but it is having good department.
