Suggest Treatment For Cholesterol And Leg Cramps

default
Posted on Fri, 12 Dec 2014
Question: i am currently on cholesterol meds, Crestor, and I have been having lots of leg cramps, etc. I've been told to try red yeast rice without citrinin, CoQ10, and fish oil instead. If I try this for about two months and check out results, should I continue taking Crestor or stop for the two months?

Brief Answer:
Wait for 3 months to see diet effects...

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX!

I read your query and understood your concerns. I need to have data on your lipids profile. If cholesterol and tryglicerides are to high than you should take immediately statins.

If you want to try a healthy diet, together with red yeast rice (without citrinin), CoQ 10 and fish oil, you should wait for at least three months for the treatment to have the wanted effect. If after three months the problem persist than you should be put on statins.

Hope this was of help!

Thank you for your reply. I don't know any numbers, but I'm going to go have a blood test before I begin. One follow-up question, may I take those three things at the same time I am using Crestor? Thank you!

May I send you my numbers when I get them? Sorry, forgot to ask that! lol
