Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

I have observed some facts in your history. Firstly, you have endometriosis of the ovary with the formation of a moderate chocolate cyst which needs active management, in other situations. In fact, suppression of ovulation is a form of medical treatment of endometriosis. However, when there are no symptoms, serial scans can be done to observe the cyst. Usually, active treatment is suggested for a cyst of more than 3 cm. in size. When infertility is a co-existing factor, surgery can be limited to marsupialisation of the cyst instead of a more radical procedure to salvage the ovary.

Secondly, treatment with Clomiphene or Letrozole is given from day 3 of the cycle through day 7 of the cycle. I do not think your doctor advised you to take Letoval 2.5 daily throughout. This is used when the ovulation is either absent or scanty, to improve the chances of ovulation.

You can also get the AMH level and antral follicular count to check for the ovarian reserve to see how well you are going to respond to treatment. With low reserves, it is better to go for IVF.

Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
