Question: For the past three weeks, I have chest pain, upper back pain, pain in both arms and hands, pain in the neck, jaw and both ears accompanied with acid reflux on and off. It’s not brought on by anything nor relieved by anything. I am convinced this is Coronary Microvascular Disease. I had an coronary angiograph that was completely clear but I know that doesn’t diagnose MVD. does this sound like angina at all or possible of MVD? No medicines make the reflux or pain go away. I am not sleeping well at night. I am a 25 year old female, non smoker, not overweight, non diabetic. Thank you

Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows:

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Your symptoms don't seem to be related to coronary artery disease or microvascular coronary heart disease.

For this reason, there is nothing to worry about it.

The fact that your coronary angiography resulted normal, is very reassuring that nothing serious is going on with your heart.

Besides, at your age, this would be an exceptional diagnosis.

Coming to this point, I would recommend checking vitamin D, magnesium, vitamin B12 plasma levels for possible deficiency.

In the meantime, I would recommend performing aerobics, in order to improve your physical performance and take calcium and magnesium supplements.

Regarding the stomach pain, z fibrogastroscopy may be needed.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr.Iliri
