Brief Answer:
I won't suggest to give Bolax syrup

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for asking on this platform

Sometimes cough may persist even for 2-3 weeks even after treatment of underlying cause. This occurs due to persistence of irritants which stimulates cough receptors(called bronchitis). Here one should look for whether this cough is severe enough to disturb sleep, causes vomiting or decreased feeding.Medications like some bronchodilator(prevent spasm of airways)and antiallergic helps in decreasing the cough.
The sphincter(valve)of food pipe in small babies is not tight enough to prevent reflux which also precipitates the cough and cough may persist longer. Cough due to reflux is more after feeds,in lying down position or during night time.
Your doctor has prescribed broxom syrup(contains ambroxol a mucus thinning agent and terbutaline a bronchodilator),vomisave contains ondensetron, decreases vomiting;esole is esomeprazole acid reducing agent and lasma lc contains antiallergic.
All these medications helps in decreasing cough by preventing spasm of airways, allergy and also if cough gets precipitated by reflux.
If given in appropriate dosage, side effects are not very significant.Terbutaline can cause increase in heart rate and irritability if given in high dosage.
I wont suggest you to give bolax which contains bisacodyl a laxative(relieves constipation)in this age,as it may cause irritation of gut mucosa and loose stool.Bisacodyl is not advised in this age(it does not heps in digestion).
Continue other medication and observe your baby.If you find any significant abnormality consult your pediatrician immediately.

I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more doubts.
Wishing for your baby's good health.

Brief Answer:
You may continue the medication in prescribed dosage

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for follow up

The medications in children are prescribed according to the body weight and each medication has a range of dosing. The above prescribed dose is appropriate for a 4.2 kg's baby. You may continue the medication in above prescribed dosage.
Bolax tablet or syrup contains Bisacodyl a laxative.
Sorry to say but I don't have any idea about Bolax drops and I don't prescribe it to the babies. But as per your description it is an ayurvedic medication (your doctor must has experience of it's good effects)and contains herbs so i don't find any problem in using that.

Brief Answer:
Nebulisation can be given safely

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Nebulisation with 3% saline or bronchodilator can be done safely if there are signs of spasm of airways. In most of the cases if airway spasm is mild it responds to Nebulisation for 3-5days.

Brief Answer:
Ab phyllin will also b helpful in bronchitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Ab Phylline contains acebrophyllin which is an anti inflammatory agent and also makes the mucus thin.It acts well in case of bronchitis.
The terbutaline component of broxum can cause vibration like movement in babies which is not seen with acebrophyllin.
I suggest you not to get overly worried as symptom of cough has decreased. It may take another 5-7 days for complete subsidence of symptoms.
Respiratory infections are common in infancy & toddler age and it may occur 6-8 times in a year.
The frequency gets decreased with development of immunity as the child grows. To prevent infection avoid contact with persons suffering from cough & cold and also avoid exposure to extreme of temperature.
