It should develop by 6 months.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history and the previous question you had asked to me through Health care Magic.

Maintaining focus over a object called as fixation develops by 3-4 months.
Since your child is focussing for 5-10 seconds I hope it should improve.
It should develop by 6 months.

Since he is operated for cataract there will be a delay. But since surgery was done quiet early the child will have good vision development.

I want to know few details like
Whether your child is using spectacles?
Whether surgery was done with intraocular lens implantation?

Hope I have answered your question and this information is helpful to you.

Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
With regards

Brief Answer:
The spectacles should be used for more time.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank you for the follow up question.

Lens implanted inside the eye is called as intraocular lens.
You should somehow make your child to wear spectacles for more time. This will help in better improvement in vision.

I advice you to follow up till the child reaches 6 months of age.
Do follow up with your doctor once the child reaches age of six months.

Hope I have answered your question and this information is helpful to you.

Brief Answer:
These symptoms indicate side effects of atro eye drops.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.

Redness of face and increased body temperature indicate side effects of atro eye drops.
Atro eye drops contain atropine and these symptoms indicate side effects because of systemic absorption.
Hence you need to instil only one drop or replace it by atropine eye ointment and apply very little quantity inside the eye.
Eye ointment will have lesser side effects because of lesser systemic absorption.

Hope I have answered your question and this information is helpful to you.

Brief Answer:
The other two eye drops does not cause these side effects.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thank you for the follow up question.

The other two eye drops, prednisolone and vigamox does not cause these side effects. You need to continue these two eye drops.

Since you have stopped atro eye drops these side effects will not occur.

Hope I have answered your question and this information is helpful to you.
