Brief Answer: detail follows Detailed Answer: Hello dear, Welcome to healthcaremagic. I have read your query and understood your concern. The most likely possibility with such canker sores involving genitalia is hepes progenitalis. I will like to know the following details: 1) is there associated burning sensation or pain ? 2) is this the first episode or history of similar lesions before ? 3) any history of discharge per vagina ? 4) any history of mouth ulcers or other skin lesions anywhere on body ? 5) will like to know your age and marital status? 6) any history of unprotected sex? Kindly get back to me with the reply to my questions and if possible send the pic of the lesions so that I can help you to my best. good luck.

About a week ago I was in Miami for the weekend. I ended up getting sick with what seemed to be a virus going around. I let it run it's course. I got home Sunday and on Monday I felt irritated and itchy and noticed my right labia swelling. I left it alone for a few days and on the third day I scratched and it swelled up so bad. A doctor on here recommended monistat thinking it was a fungal infection in my vagina. Well two days ago I noticed why it burned when I peed was because I have what looks like 3 very tiny canker sores on my left and right labia. I could barely see them until I looked thoroughly. What could this be?? I don't have insurance and can't go get checked please help. I get canker sores on my mouth all the time. I'm 18 and this is the first time this has ever happened to me. There is no puss or discharge, the swelling was only on my right labia but there's two sores on my right and one on my left. They only hurt when I pee because it stings and when they are touched just like a canker sore in the mouth. I bathed in salt water and it seemed to help a bit

Brief Answer: herpes progenitalis Detailed Answer: Hello dear, Welcome again. Still it seems to be a Viral infection to me that is herpes progenitalis. The swelling you got may be due to associated inflammation due to scratching or secondary bacterial infection. In such cases, usually oral antibiotics with good antibacterial coverage like macrolides/ cephalosporins are advised. Antifungal course you have already taken. Antivirals don't help much after 24-48 hours of infection. You may apply topical antibiotic creams like mupirocin 2 percent / fucidic acid twice daily over the lesions. Keep the area clean and dry. iI will like to advise you that in case you get sores over genitalia again , do consult your doctor or with us at the earliest so that timely antivirals can be started. I hope it helps. If you have any further query you may ask me. stay healthy.
