Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation During Urination And Frequent Urination

Question: Hello doctor,

I got married in this may. After marriage I had UTI.
I was suffering from burning sensation during urination. Few days later I consulted doctor and I was given syrup and it was reduced in a week's time.
However, from many days now I am experiencing frequent urination. And I feel that I have less control on urination. Just after an hour after drinking water I feel like urinating and I feel pressure in the lower back which gets relieved after passing urine. I would be consulting doctor in person tomorrow. I am worried, please let me know if there is anything to worry

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have frequency for urination with less control over urination (Urge to pass urine ) and discomfort in lower back.

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Do you have other symptoms like burning urination suggesting UTI ?

Your symptoms are mostly due to what is termed as Over Active Bladder (OAB).

Normally one gets sensation to pass urine when bladder is filled with 250-300 ml of urine but in OAB there are involuntary contractions of bladder even after it gets filled with 100 ml of urine causing urge to pass urine and discomfort in lower abdomen .

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture to rule out UTI.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Urodynaemic study of bladder

Taking Darifenacin once daily will help to resolve your problem .

I don't have burning urination but once in a while I feel so.
Is this something to worry?
I don't have kids yet, will this affect pregnancy?
