Brief Answer:
Read below.

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

That description of burning and numbness corresponds to peripheral neuropathy, damage to peripheral nerves. Peripheral neuropathy can occur due to many causes such as diabetes, alcohol abuse, nutritional deficiencies, liver and kidney conditions, thyroid conditions, rheumatological conditions like rheumatoid arthritis etc, the list can be very long. Among these causes the ones most commonly associated with red palms are liver issues, rheumatological conditions, hyperthyroidism or polycythemia.

So I would suggest some routine blood tests to check for such issues including, blood count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, diabetes, liver and kidney function tests, electrolytes, thyroid function which may already give some indication as to the cause and management. Medication for neuropathis symptoms such as gabapentin may be tried to alleviate the symptoms in the meantime, but they are only for the symptoms and do not remove the need for the tests I mentioned.

I remain at your disposal for further questions.
