Suggest Treatment For Bump On Calf

default
Posted on Mon, 19 Oct 2015
Question: Hello, for the last few years I have had a mostly harmless bump on my calf. It hurt when I push down on it but over the last two years it seems that it gets more and more painful at random times. Usually as I am getting ready for bed it forms a bubble of what appears to be air inside the lump. Now there appears to be smaller ones (just as the original one started) around the large one. It builds pressure when the skin is tight or pressure put on the outside. I unsuccessfully tried to open the bump as it wasn't hollow but appeared to be tissue extending rather deep and the bubble is beyond that.
I would like to submit photos but it appears that I can't .

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query and I can understand your concern.

It seems that you have soft tissue lumps. The fact that these bumps have been there for years ,indicates that they have benign nature.
Usually benign lumps on soft tissue can grow slowly over time and compress the surrounding structures. This might be the reason why they are getting more and more painful.
I would suggest to consult your physician because a physical examination and a MRI of the leg are necessary to evaluate the presence of the lumps, their localization etc. After confirming the localization and their nature ,the lumps can be removed.

Hope it helps.
Please feel free to ask if you have any question.I would be happy to help.

Kind regards,
