Question: hi...i am 40 years old. i have had a bump in my anal area. it is black/purple bump below anus. I am not in pain, but it's alarming. any advice? I will attach a picture

My initially thoughts are that this represents a a spontaneous clot under the skin. It would normally get resolved with time and there is no reason to get worried about it. If cancer is any of your worries, this is not suggestive of cancer.

thanks, I noticed, (felt it) yesterday. do you recommend any over the counter medication ? or will it clear up on its own ?
