Brief Answer:
Brain Fog Can be Low Oxygen to Blood because of Lung Problems

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthCareMagic.com I am Dr.J XXXXXXX Anto Bruno Mascarenhas, and I am here to help you. I have read your question with care and understand your concerns.

Experiencing brain fog can be due to various reasons
It can be a structural Problem in Brain or a Functional Problem in Brain or a part of Generalised Problem

(I)
Structural Problems can
1. Infection
2. Inflammation
3. Degeneration
4. Congenital Malformation
5. Trauma Induced
6. Hematomas

They can be found out by CT Scan Plan and Contrast and also by MRI Brain Plain and Contrast.

(II)
Functional Problems can
1. Low activity of Neurons
2. High Activity of Neurons

They be found out by EEG

(III)
Generalised Problem means Brain is Normal, but brain gets low Oxygen due to various reasons like
1. Low Blood Pressure
2. Anemia
3. Lung Problems

In Your case, I would first want to rule out lung problems

Since you have had Problems in Lung --> They interfere with Oxygen Diffusion in lungs --> Not much oxygen enters your blood from the air in lungs --> this means your blood has low oxygen --> Brain Gets Low Oxygen --> you have brain fog.

You have to do a simple test called Oxygen Saturation of Blood. This will give a clue and may even clinch the diagnosis

Hope you found the answer helpful.
