might be chronic indigestion and stomach infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Welcome to HCM.
This is Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta answering your query.

I have gone through your query.
From your history, it looks like a caseof chronic indigestion alongwith mild to moderate stomach infection.
If such patient comes to me, I generally advise the following-
Diet modification- taking small frequent meals at regular intervals with more fluids and dietary fibers and avoiding fatty and junk food.
Avoidance of alcohol and smoking if any.
Regular exercise like brisk walking which enhances metabolism.
Antibiotics like ofloxacin-ornidazole 5-7days.
Combinations like pantoprazole-levosulpiride once daily for 20 days.
Antacids like gaviscon can be taken with meal.
ORS solution can be taken for persistent diarrhea.

You can consult your treating or family doctor for prescription of the above.

Hope this was helpful.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
It should get better in few days

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Mostly stomach infections do not require blood tests and treatment can be started according to symptoms. However, if it persists for a long time even with medication, blood tests, stool examination and specific tests for H.pylori can be done to rule out few causes. In general, blood tests may reveal signs of infection.

It should get better on its own if you follow the restrictions and take medicine as advised. Tests are not needed commonly.

Wish you good health.
Regards.
