Question: Hello, I am a healthy 58 year old woman. I do not take any medicine or supplements.
I have a bladder infection. I am sure, had them before. Long car ride, long airplane ride, not enough water. I am in moderate pain now. Small very small amount of blood in urine. Came on two days ago, lots of water got better, now it is back. I am due to fly overseas tomorrow morning. I would like antibiotic and just a couple of pills for pain tonight.

Allergic to penicillin

Get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary antiseptic like
Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water.To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
