Brief Answer:
Vertigo likely BPPV

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Sensation of ear fullness and age more than 65 with symptoms exacerbating on posture change are all classic of vertigo specially BPPV , Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo.

If you had some recent flu or any ear pain that could also lead to such complaints.

All you need is wait and see policy because it self resolves over a couple of weeks. You may take some antivert for the symptomatic relief or any other vestibular suppressant medication. Canalith repositioning and Cawthorne exercises along with many other vestibular rehab exercises can be considered as treatment modality.

Just seek a neurologist or an otorhinolaryngologist and let them take care of the symptoms.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
