Brief Answer:
You will require anti-inflammatory and antibiotics.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting the query

The symptoms described by you seem to be related the upper respiratory tract infection with gingivitis. Your daughter is also suffering with almost similar set of symptoms.

Do not worry! With appropriate measures, it can be taken care of. As it has started four days back, the infection would have become bacterial. Things may not resolve on it, hence, it would be wiser to consult your doctor and get the necessary antibiotics.

Meanwhile, you can try the home remedies such as:
1. Drinking plenty of warm water - this will reduce the inflammation of the tonsils and the gingiva.
2. Try rinsing the mouth with dilute povidone iodine mouth gargles. It is antiseptic and arrests the growth of bacteria.
3. OTC pain relievers will be beneficial in reducing the inflammation and pain.
4. Avoid chilled food and beverages/coffee/smoking, if any.

Hope with this information has been beneficial to you. Revert back to me if you have any further queries.
