Question: Hi ,I'm a 21 year old male about 2 months ago I had chest pain around my lower pec I didn't think it was anything serious so ignored it went through my day normally later that night when I was asleep around 5 am I woke up feeling very cold rapid heart rate and the chest pain got worse dumb of me i slept it off went to the ER in the morning they did an ECG,blood test and a chest x ray all test came back fine couple days later I had a big meal before I slept had another attack chills and rapid heart rate. So i seeked out a cardiologist which did a stress test and ultrasound of the heart test all came back normal went to my family and she said it was a panic disorder but to this day I get palpitations here and there and I'm dizzy most of the day have heart burn depending on what i eat my resting heart rate is 59 and 80-110 if I'm working or what not my only concern is if they missed anything sometimes I'm paranoid I have afib or some sort of arrythmia nobody in my family has a heart condition but I'm still worried should have more test done for example holter monitor or what not I have a pretty healthy diet avoid sugar get my vegtables and I drink moderately now since it gets my heart rate a bit up scares me is it normal for alcohol to increase heart rate? any advice would be greatly appreciated

Brief Answer:
May be panic attack itself or could be SVT

Detailed Answer:
if all your tests so far have come back normal on more than one occasion it's less likely that anything would have been missed out. if you recurrent troublesome symptoms it would be worthwhile to have Holter monitoring to rule out arrhythmia. also if not yet checked check your thyroid profile also.
if they also come normal, than anxiety treatment or beta blockers should suffice. I don't see any reason for to worried about it. afib with structurally normal heart is very rare at your age

Brief Answer:
Yes

Detailed Answer:
anxiety can cause all the symptoms and it can be very disturbing but once you understand nothing is wrong it will soon disappear and you won't be troubled by it. just ignore symptoms and relax

alright thank you just one last question how do you differentiate between svt and afib cause I do get irregular heart beats and fatigue with dizziness scares me

Brief Answer:
ECG

Detailed Answer:
ECG or examination by physician during episode is only way to differentiate between two. But for your info AFib is slow to start and stop and irregular where as SVT is sudden onset and stops suddenly and is regular
