Suggest Treatment For Anxiety And Depression While On Lexapro
Question: i was on 10 mil of generic Lexapro for 10 yrs when as it is called pooped out! My Gp increased it to 20 mil which I have taken for appoximently 8 weeks with little help for my anxiety and depression! My question is should I look into another antidepressant as this Lexapro does not seemed to be kicking in?

A full and complete trial of an antidepressant is at least 6 weeks on the maximum dosage. You've been taking the maximum dosage of Lexapro now for over 8 weeks, so it would be appropriate at this time to cross-taper to a different antidepressant. I'd suggest sertraline (Zoloft), which treats anxiety and depression very well. You will feel better!
