Suggest Treatment For An Itchy Blister On The Finger

Question: My wife was shaking the thermometer to lower down the the mercury in thermometer so that she can use the thermometer to check the fever. But while shaking thermometer got break in her hand and she get a reddish bubble or spot on her finger after this. She does not have any pain in the finger but she feels itching on and around this bubble. When she itch on this bubble then it pinch her. I have attached the pictures of this red bubble . Please see the attachment. Is this a sign of worry? Please suggest the best medication for this problem.

I an dr.kakkar(dermatologist).

i have gone through your query and i have reviewed the image.
This seems like a contact dermatitis.
I suggest her to use a cream e.g dipgenta cream or tenovate cream, twice daily.
In addition she may take a tablet of cetrizine 10 mg once daily in case the skin is itchy.
