Suggest Treatment For An Insect Bite On The Abdomen
Question: Have had what appeared to be an insect bite on my lower right abdomen for several weeks.
Tried every kind of topical in the medicine chest. While initial inflammation subsided, the
core never went away. Today it became itchy and a white bump appeared in the center. I
expressed the area and some white pus appeared followed by what looks like a 1/4" organism
that looks like some form of larva. Wound appears to be empty - how should I treat the area?

It would be better if you provide the picture.
As per your description, there is an infected wound over the abdominal wall.As the pus has come out,wound should be cleaned with Betadine and close the wound with dressing daily.Red granulation tissue will be formed and the wound will be healed soon.
