Suggest Treatment For Adult Scoliosis

Question: I have a question regarding adult scoliosis. I injured my neck several days ago and had thoracic and cervical X-rays taken as a result. All X-rays were normal, but the thoracic X-rays had an incidental finding of "very mild scoliosis." (My neck will be fine.) I have never been diagnosed with scoliosis. I had a spinal MRI years ago for another issue (disk herniation at T9) and wasn't told about scoliosis then, so I think it must be new. I do not have any symptoms and would not have known if it wasn't for these X-rays. Is this "very mild scoliosis" something to be concerned about? Is it dangerous? I looked in the mirror and think I can see a slight curve in my spine about mid-back. Is there anything that I should do? Again I have no symptoms but now feel worried about it. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Not worrisome.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The mild scoliosis that has been detected can be postural also. It is usually detected on X-rays. If there is no pain or any other symptoms then there is no need to worry. You can start with back strengthening exercises under the guidance of a physiotherapist. It will help in taking care of your mild problem by correcting the muscle tone.
I hope this answers your query.
