For what these were prescribed initially?

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Greetings from Dr.Divakara. P
Thanks for posting your query.

You have mentioned that you are readdicted , so you were once addicted and then got deaddicted right.

So I need to know more details.

When were you first prescribed these medicines and for what purpose?

For how long you have used these medicines initially?

Now what made you get readdicted again?

Is there any personal or professional stress or tension?

Kindly let me know these details so that I can help you better.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
Need to get Proper Psychiatrist consult.

Detailed Answer:
HI

Thanks for the information.

See Dysmenorrhea, dependence or addiction to SP/Zolpidem legs pain all these are pointing towards Psychological issues not physical problems. ( Also you do accept that there is a ot of tension also )

So the main cause of all your problems is Psychological, it could be depression , anxiety or something else. This psychological problem has to be addressed properly otherwise you will again get addicted to these drugs if we make you deaddicted without dealing the psychological issue.

So the most important thing is to get a Psychiatrist consult and counselling , don't insist him to work on deaddiction right now. Let him go through your psychological issues and resolve them first.

I know you have consulted a Psychiatrist but apart from Zolpidem he has not given anything else and also your psychological issues has not been resolved . So kindly consult a different Psychiatrist and follow his/her advise . Make sure you go for follow up visits to him.

Now coming to measure that can be done to bring down your SP/Zolpidem consumption. Let us first bring down SP dose first and later we shall try with Zolpidem.

Know that the phase where SP dose will be reduced will be bit difficult for you but since you have done this once you can do it now easily. First make up your mind that at any cost you will not take SP more than 5 per day. Even if it causes pain in legs don't take extra SP. You can use one or two NSAID medications like Zerodol P if pain becomes intolerable.

Also start doing Yoga ( suryanamaskara ) Meditation. Also share your problem with someone close to you so that person can be there with you and restrain you from taking more SP during pain.

Spend more time with friends or family so that your mind gets diverted from Pain. After 7-10 days reduce the intake of Sp to 3 per day and after 2 weeks make it 1 -2 per day.

Revert back to me after you follow these instructions and tell me the results.
Also get the psychiatrist consult.
