Question: I have acne from on my chin. I have been on antibiotics and hormone treatment for three months but my cysts on the chin is not going away! I have tried all over the counter items , including benzoyl peroxide and salicylate gels.

Thanks for the query and photograph.
Oral isotretinoin is highly effective.
I treat such cases with capsule isotretinoin 20 mg daily for 3 months.
It gives good results but has few side effects like dryness of lips.
There should be no pregnancy during the course and 3 months after finishing the medication.
This capsule can only be obtained on prescription.
Please meet a dermatologist and discuss regarding this.
