Brief Answer:
needs endoscopy

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic .

Before starting medical treatment endoscopy is must to rule out presence of hiatus hernia. If this is present then she may be needed to undergo surgery for that. Medical therapy are less effective for it.

If hiatus hernia is not there then following treatment you may be adviced to take
- pantoprazole 40mg and levosulpiride combination. This is prescription drug so you need to consult your doctor. Pantoprazole reduces acid secretion and levosulpiride prevents reflux. Daily dosage and Duration depends upon severity of condition.
-avoid intake of coffee, tea , cold drinks, chocolate etc.
-don't sleep before 2 hours of intake of food.
-while sleeping try to make head and neck elevated compared to stomach.

Hope I have answered your query . If any further queries are there I would love to help .
