Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. I hope you do not have diabetes. To help you better please tell me about the movement at left shoulder as compare to right ?
Do you have night pain?
Based on your symptoms it could well be inflammation in shoulder (subacromial bursitis). It needs physical examination to confirm. The grinding sound is produced by tendon during shoulder movement.
You may do gentle shoulder exercises, hot water fomentation along with ibuprofen. Physiotherapy also helps.
Looking forward to your reply.
Take care
