Suggest Treatment For Absence Of Periods

Posted on Mon, 12 Dec 2016
Question: I haven't had my period in 3 months (I stopped taking birth control and still haven't had a period since then). I'm sure I'm not pregnant and I've been going through PMS for basically 2 months. It has become unbearable and I want to get my period ASAP.

Brief Answer:
Get an ultrasound of the abdomen done!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Am so sorry to hear about this rather distressful experience. It wouldn't be wise provoking menses after such a while without a clear understanding of what is going on. I will suggest you do an abdominal ultrasound. This will look at the uterus and its lining to see whether you have had cycles without any bleeding. This will also look a the ovaries and the other reproductive. This will help establish the exact cause and propose specific and helpful tips/plan.

Let me know what the results of the ultrasound are. I wish you a quick recovery.
