Suggest Treatment For Abrasions Near Foreskin

default
Posted on Thu, 22 Jan 2015
Question: I have an abrasion on my penis due to masterbation and sex. The abrasion is right where the foreskin folds over near the head (I am circumcised). It has been about 4 months since this developed. Although it has gotten better it still has not completely healed, however I did have another abrasion on the bottom side of the foreskin that has fully healed. I have been applying desitin for the last month to keep it dry. At points the abrasion seems to be fully healed but after sex it would become and stay red for a few days. I think their may be a bacterial infection from reading similar post but the abrasion does not look infected at all. Please advise for corrective action.

Brief Answer:
You have sustained injury (Abrasion) due to rough sexual activities.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have sustained abrasion over coronal sulcus of the penis due to dry rough shaking of the penis while masturbating and having sex.

Mostly it is a simple abrasion which has not healed up completely due to continuance of your sexual activities.

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Was it a unprotected sex?
2) Do you know the STD status of your female partner?
3) Do you other symptoms like urethral discharge, itching, burning urination etc?

Mostly it is a simple abrasion

You need to take broad spectrum antibiotic like Cefixime along with anti inflammatory drug like Diclofenac twice daily.along with topical antibiotic ointment like Neosporin twice daily.

Ensure to wash your genitals with warm water twice daily

Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till it heals up completely.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.

Hi Dr. XXXXXXX

It was caused during unprotected sex but my female partner did not have any STD's but she did often have yeast infections. Their is no discharge or burning. Slight itching accures acasionally the day after sex or masturbation.
