Suggest Treatment For Abnormal Curvature Of The Penis

Question: Hello. The shaft that runs up the back of my penis (corpus spongiosum) has moved out of line with the two corpus cavernous of my penis. It used to run straight down the middle in line with my urethral orifice, but now it is significantly further over to the right hand side. It is mostly noticeable when erect. I first noticed this about 3 months ago, i have been keeping an eye on it and if anything it seems to be getting worse. I also get a sharp twinge just to the right of my corpus spongiosum sometimes when tensing/flexing while masturbating. Before noticing this i had not had sex in 6 months so i don't think it can be sexual injury. Having done some reading up online i have tried switching from the hand i usually masturbate with (left) to the the right while masturbating about two weeks ago, but its still seems to be moving further over to the same side rather than moving back to the center. Is there anything else that could have caused this and if so how can i fix it so the corpus spongiousum moves back to the center?

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
It seems you have developed Peyronie's disease or chronic inflammation of the tunica albuginea (CITA), a connective tissue disorder involving the growth of fibrous plaques in the soft tissue of the penis (which affects an estimated 5% of men).
Specifically, scar tissue forms in the tunica albuginea, the thick sheath of tissue surrounding the corpora cavernosa causing abnormal curvature of penis when erect (penis moving over to the one side -in your case the right hand side).

An ultrasound of penis can provide conclusive evidence of Peyronie's disease, ruling out congenital curvature or other disorders.

So let Urologist examine you and confirm the diagnosis.

Without treatment, about 12–13% of patients will spontaneously improve over time, 40–50% will get worse and the rest will be relatively stable.

Thank you for that answer, however it is only the Corpus Spongiosum that is misaligned, the two corpus cavernous seem to be functioning normally and are straight. Is it possible to get peyronie's disease in the corpus spongiosum only? If so, what are the most effective treatments?

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Peyronie's disease involves the sheath of the corpora cavernosa only ,not Corpus Spongiosum. However curvature of erect penis can be misinterpreted .
Ultrasound of erect penis will localize the site of lesion.
