Posted on Tue, 13 Dec 2016
Question: I am 62 years old female 5'6" 150. Very young for my age. Went in 4 months ago for colonoscopy. Dr found precancerous lesions. Diagnosed me with Gastritiis. Gave me Prevacid. It didn't work. I get terrible sharp pains in bloated abdomin at least 3 times a month. Cold sweats and sometimes Almost pass out. Abdominal is painful to touch durning these episodes. Hard to tell what causes the bloating and pain. Sometimes lemonade. Sometimes salad was th iced tea. I now have elevated liver enzymes and blood in my stool. Dr suspects bleeding ulcer. Could this be? What tests should I ask to be run? Do I need another colonoscopy so soon?

Brief Answer:
there are many potential causes...

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

before starting to comment on your case I'm going to need more information. Please tell whatever you think is relevant to your symptoms and also answer the following questions:
- where is this pain located? Does it radiate somewhere else? Is it related to meals? How much time after eating do they occur? Is there anything that makes you feel better (like bowel movements or passing gas or anything else) ? Is there anything that makes you feel worse? Are there any associated symptoms like nausea, vomiting, etc?

- Did you see bright red blood in the stool or was it dark red (or black)? Do you have hemorrhoids? Did you see blood on the toilet paper? Did you feel like fainting?

- Please upload the reports so that I can see for myself which enzymes were elevated (and how much) and which were normal. If you also have any radiological tests done, please upload those reports too.

I'll be waiting for your input...
