Question: hi doctor,

I have a small scar on my forehead which I got when I was a kid. The skin there has become like a kind of plastic and am seeing its slowly turning black.
I have attached an image for you to look into.
What can be done in this case?

Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Surgical intervention required

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query and photograph.
These type of depressed scars need surgical treatment.
A small procedure called as subscission is very useful.
In this procedure a small needle is passed below the scar and adhesions are cut.
It is an opd based procedure and hardly takes 15 minutes to perform.
Please meet a dermatologist and ask regarding this procedure.
Creams won't be beneficial in your case.
Let me know if you have any other doubt.
Thank you.
