I don't know how to send a picture on here. It's like a red, flat, rough, abit crusty patch and it's numb. I've had no viral infection or cold. I've had this numb patch about a week. I havnt used anything on it so far.

Brief Answer:
Cold sore can apply antiviral cream locally..

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

Thank you for providing the requested photo. Unfortunately, the quality was not as good as I wished. However, I was able to notice the dry patch on top of your lip. It is a cold sore. It is numb because cold sore is caused by virus attacking the nerves ends and because it is continuously peeling.

Apart lip balm, can apply antiviral cream (aciclovir) at night for a few days.

Keep good hygiene, remove lip coloring and wash your lips before applying the cream.

Wish fast recovery.
