Posted on Thu, 20 Oct 2016
Question: Yes, thank you,
I have a "weak" bladder.
Over the past several months it has become weaker
Started out just waking up 5-6 times a night
Now it's at least once an hour AND when lying down OR reclining I have NO controll
My Urologist/P.C.P. have no answers
Why is it progressing or rapidly/
Injury, virus, disease, tumor, infection???
Please help
I am desperate!!!

Brief Answer:
Could be due to Over Active Bladder syndrome

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

Based on the symptoms that you have it seems to be due to what is termed as Over Active Bladder (OAB).

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
1) Do you have urgency for urination ?
2) Have you done Urodynamic study of your bladder .? if so can you post me report?
3) Are you able to control urination if no rest room is available ?

In a normal situation one has sensation to pass urine when bladder gets filled up with 300 ml of urine whereas in OAB there are involuntary contractions of bladder even if it is gets filled with 50-100 ml of urine causing urgency and frequency for urination .

Get Urodynamic study of bladder done to confirm the diagnosis .

Taking anti Cholinergic drug like Solifenacin twice daily will help to resolve the issue.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.

Brief Answer:
Spinan cord Stenosis can cause bladder symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up and feedback .

Spinal cord stenosis can cause bladder symptoms but you will have some neurological symptoms like tingling in the legs etc .The cause of urgency associated with frequency has to be traced out which can be confirmed only by doing Urodynamic study of the bladder .This is a noninvasive test and will help to pinpoint the diagnosis .

Have a trial of Solifencin twice daily for 2-3 weeks .

Thanks and Regards.
