Suggest Treatment For A Lump On The Elbow

default
Posted on Wed, 26 Apr 2017
Question: I am 39 5 years ago I had osteomyelitis in my right humerus, surgery to remove infection anti biotic beads. Now my question is I have a lump on the inside left of my elbow right at the start of myelbow joint going up towards my armpit about the size of a chicken egg. It just got this way in the last 2 days, its been bothering my off and on since I was laid off about 4 months ago (a lot more computer and its right where my elbow rests while using a mouse). Ive noticed when I worked in those 4 months albeit sporadically it would go away almost entirely. What could I be looking at?

Brief Answer:
It could be a Bursa or Lipoma.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Please post the pic for better clarification.
Swelling that is near a joint which disappears could be a Bursa.
Next possibility is a Lipoma, swelling arising from fat tissue. But,it doesn't disappear completely.
If the swelling is persistent, I prefer an FNAC (Fine needle aspiration cytology )of the swelling.
Please consult your doctor and proceed further.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
