Suggest Treatment For A Fractured Toe After Injury
Question: I am pretty certain I broke my 4th toe yesterday after catching it on a corner. I buddy taped it, but it is very difficult to walk on it and this morning discovered it had developed bruising underneath the 4th and 3rd toes ( top of the foot). Should I see a doctor for this'd? I have been icing it but staying off of it is impossible.
Brief Answer:
You need to get x ray and plaster
Detailed Answer:
Hello, I have studied your case. You need to get x ray of the foot to confirm the diagnosis. If there is fracture you will need following treatment.
1. Meet doctor and get toe supporting plaster for foot.. 2. Take Brufen for pain relief.
3.Bluish color is not a thing to be worried. It is due to blood extravasation. This will dissolve by its own.
4.Do not stand for long time or walk for longer distance.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other follow up questions. Thanks
