Question: Hi there, I had my first cold sore in mid XXXXXXX The blister was a good size I can see filled with clear fluid.

Now few days ago I notice a tiny red raised dot. It's so small I'm not sure if it is pointy or a raised dome shape dot. I went over it with a q-tip, it felt like it was pointy. So I popped it, it did take me couple of times to pop it with some pressure as it felt hard. There was a tiny bit of fluid but I'm not sure if it was clear or a slight yellow tint to it.

the next couple of days it was a bit red...and today it looked like this (in the picture).
Was that a cold sore? If it was a cold sore I would know right? It would look similar to the one I had it the first time, is that correct?

I have been having a lot of anxiety just because I don't know where is the next time I'm going to have it I keep biting my upper lip.

Hi sorry doctor I also have one more question. Do you know if a hsv virus can survive on a lipstick for months? Since my first outbreak I haven't worn my lipsticks for months...until today I put lipstick on. Which triggered my anxiety to if the virus will be on the lipsticks, if it will cause an outbreak.
