Question: I can only urinate very small amounts at a time, this started a day ago

There are two possibilities here. you could be experiencing a urinary tract infection which could lead to frequent small amounts of urination which is sometimes accompanied by pin or discomfort.

Another possibility is that there is an obstruction to urine flow in your body. This can sometimes happen if the prostate is enlarged. Also, malfunction of the kidneys can lead to a decrease in urine output.

I highly recommend you meet with your primary care doctor to discuss your symptoms. This should be addressed as soon as possible.

if this is a simple UTI then an antibiotic will help quickly. Otherwise, additional work up and testing may be needed.
