Question: Please give me the name of the medication.to treat Staphylococcus Aureus infection.This is what I have now. Thanks, Ilona Petervari

HI

Thanks for choosing HCM.

Staphylococcus Aureus is a bacteria and responds to many antibiotics usually. Common among them are Cefpodoxime , Levofloxacin and Linezolid. Among these I use Linezolid for my patients.

But the right way to treat is to do a Culture sensitivity test which shows to which Antibiotic the bacteria is most sensitive and accordingly that Antibiotic has to be used.
