Brief Answer:
Wait for one week for periods and at redn advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to health care magic forum.
I am Dr Manisha Jain and I will be answering your query.Generally it takes around five to seven days for periods to come after discontinuation of progesterone. So kindly wait for that much time . PCOD patients have increased weight and high insulin resistance due to unopposed estrogen in the body.
Weight reduction has good effect on PCOD profile. Please visit a dietician and follow the advice by her/ him. You should also engage in daily exercise for at least 30 min a day for minimum of 5 days a week. Your doctor must have told you about hyperplasia and not hypoplasia . Chances of hyperplasia in uterine cavity are more in PCOD patients than with normal population.
Please feel free to write in any other query you have in mind. Regards Dr Manisha Jain

Brief Answer:
PCOD patients have hyperplasia usually

Detailed Answer:
Yes it is very common to have hyperplasia in women PCOD and is usually benign because the unopposed estrogen which is the cause of hyperplasia is there in very meagre quantity and whatever amount of estrogen is there it disappears with the onset of period or Intake of progesterone.
Yes progesterone can cause weight gain due to salt and water retention so you can decrease the intake of salt and spices while taking progesterone.
All the best.

Brief Answer:
metformin will help you combat it

Detailed Answer:
Yes dear, metformin will help you lose weight and also will regulate your cycle and hormones so that you stop gaining weight too.
And in case you do dieting and exercise regularly along with it, it will enhance the effect of metformin.
People do gain a lot of weight many a times but that is seen in those women who are unaware and unconcerned about the disease process or are weak willed to stick to the schedule of drugs, diet and exercise.
I hope you will work in this direction in a meticulous way.
Take care

Is a couple of pounds all expected to gain taking compound progesterone. If I don't bleed in a couple of days should I contact my doctor. Could the high insulin resistance make the progesterone cream not work in giving me a period. Its been awhile since I've had a real period. Was on a low birth control pill cause the other made me throw up. Didn't if a period just pms symptoms then had a tubal my ob gyn said let's see what your body does it did nothing she checked me to make sure I'm.not menopausal and if I had a lining. Ovaries cystic normal size had a lining of 8 of whatever that means. Did this with ultra sound wants me to have a withdrawal to check for any hyperplasia. I do have typical pics facial hai. Which is a plucking pain. I wasn't always overweight I'm on cymbalta 30 mg for anxiety 10 years ago I weighed 155. This is the heaviest I've ever been was on another fast gaining antidepressant that I haven't been on in years gained 22 pounds maked weight loss impossible. Taking metformin help with anxiety where I could get off of the drug? So I am doing weight watchers and starting to exercise more eating more veggies tracking all I eat.

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, sorry for a delay in reply.
Yes metformin can help you resume your normal period pattern and decrease insulin resistance too.
Progesterone withdrawal will cause periods most probably because your endometrial thickness is good that is 8 mm.
Just take metformin and also try to lose weight and see the response.
Metformin intake might not help you to leave antidepressant.
In case you still don't bleed after progesterone then definitely visit your doctor.
Take care
