Brief Answer:
You can continue treatment other than antibiotics.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

If you are not able to tolerate antibiotics continuing rest of the treatment can still help.

Rest of the treatment is basically directed towards reducing acid production or neutralizing it.
A use of antacid like (ranitidine) can give relief within in short duration, however action last for shorter duration. Proton pump inhibitor(Prilosec) reduce acid formation and have comparatively longer duration of action.

Pro-motility drugs (metoclopramide ) can be used. They increase the pressure in the lower esophageal sphincter and strengthen the contractions of the esophagus. This will control GERD.

Life style changes which can be extremely helpful and include - avoid spicy food, smoking, caffeine, alcohol, smoking, large meals, sleeping immediately after meal and excess stress.

All these factors once taken care of will also make you capable of bearing antibiotics in future.

In severe case surgical option like fundoplication and other techniques strengthening lower esophageal sphincter may be considered. But this is unlikely to be needed in your case.

Please ask if i have left any of your query unanswered or if there are any doubts.Regards.

Thank you so much for the answer. For how long this antibiotic treatment can be avoided? What are the repercussions of h pyroli and how dangerous is this bacteria? Sense of ghabrahat is a part of acidity? I have been suggested domstal 10 mg three times a day and azida 10 mg once. Are these medicines safe to take. Because on the second day of antibiotics I had twist in the tongue which went off automatically. That is why I am scared of taking medicines. Kindly suggest

Brief Answer:
Answering one by one.

Detailed Answer:
1.You can take other treatment for two weeks, than start antibiotics.Continue antacids with antibiotics.
2.Anxiety is not part of acidity, but anxiety can lead to acidity. Its other way round.
3.Yes, these medications are good and safe.
4.To avoid tongue sasm, drink adequate water with electrolyte powder, that should take care of this. This happens because of electrolyte imbalance in the body due to medications.
5.H pylori infection is not dangerous, many people have it in their gut without any symptoms.

Thank you so much sir. One last query. How to identify gerd.in my case I have minor heart burn or sour water into throat issues almost negligible. But breathing prblm is very prominent. I was being treated for asthma and gerd together. What is your opinion about this. My endoscopy report says gerd. my Pft was not normal. Slight issues. But pft issues may be related to me being under weight. Need your guidance sir as I want to be certain that I am treated for right disease and the breathing issues is because of gerd and there is nothing to panic, I mean it may not lead me to emergency situations as I stay alone.
