Brief Answer: Renal Transplant is a routine surgery now. Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for your query, based on the facts and reports of her blood tests that you have posted it appears that your mother has Chronic Renal Failure due to Chronic Renal Paranchymal Disease. She is planned to undergo AV fistula for dialysis. This is a small surgery carried out under local anaesthesia and nothing to be worried about it. You are planning for her renal transplant in near future and have sought for donor. You have not mentioned whether donor is blood related donor or unrelated donor. The incurring expenses are very variable from place to place and differ from one Hospitals to other. Here in Bangalore in case of related donor total cost ranges from 3 -4 lacs Rs . Since she has cancer of the uterus too, Please consult your Gynaecologist or Oncologist regarding priority of surgery for radical Hysterectomy or renal transplant to be done first . As regards centres where facility of Osmotherapy I have no knowledge about the centres where this procedure is carried out You can get the information from Nephrologist in Kolkata. Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you Thanks and Regards. Dr.Patil..

Brief Answer: Sorry for misinterpretation Detailed Answer: Hello Sorry for misinterpretation. With proper selection of blood related donor chances of 100% success are very high . Renal transplant surgery has its own limitation as regards results of surgery as far as period of survival of a recipient is concerned . As the kidney from Donor is a foreign organ the immune system of the body of recipient tries to reject it in spite of taking immuno suppressant drugs .But with newly invented immuno suppressant medications one can survive for 15 -20 years with good quality life. Thanks and Regards. Dr.Patil.

Brief Answer: Ramipril and Vasodac are both ICE inhibitors. Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for follow up.Ramipril and Vasodac are drugs that belong to ACE group of drugs .Your Dr might have prescribed other drug belonging to same group of drug (ACE inhibitors). The side effects that you are worried about are very rare and you have to consult qualified Cardiologist frequently to monitor her hypertension and medications. Thanks and Regards. Dr.Patil.
