Posted on Mon, 9 Jun 2014
Question: I have Candida Albicans Yeast Fungal overgrowth. I have not been to a licensed doctor. I know this is a serious and can be life threatening. I have no insurance, yet will pay cash in emergency. I have no idea what doctor specialized in this condition. I am very sick with almost ALL the symptoms. My tongue is the most obvious sign with a disgusting white coating that has been going on for probably almost one year.
Please help.

Brief Answer:
Till you consult,

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mrs XXXXXXX
Hope you are in good health.

Candidal infections (Systemic) are commonly seen in immuno compromised individuals. As you do not seem to have any issues like diabetes, steroid intake, HIV, IV drug abuse etc, confirmation of the fungus is necessary. The other sites of involvement have not been mentioned.
You need to seek medical consultation with a physician, as any further negligence can be lethal, as you are well aware of it.
Till you consult, you may take Tab fluconazole 150 mg once a day for 2 weeks. I believe you may get the drug OTC, and it acts quiet well on tongue infection.
hope this will help you.
I would like to remind you that neither the fungus nor the underlying risk factor is confirmed and hence presumptive treatment can be hazardous.
All the best.

Thanks so very much for a reply. Do you know of any doctors in San XXXXXXX that specialize in my problem thus far as I described?
Thanks for the well wishes. I trust you. I ordered 20 pills at 150mg today.
Will take 5-9 days to arrive.
I am looking up Fluconazole on the Internet. Do not worry about me.

I do not have any prescription medications I am currently taking. I do not have current medical diagnosis of anything and no current medical history except when I was child (which I do not have records).

I know I need a doctor, yet I have limited money. I will proceed as needed, if I can.
