Brief Answer:
Bell's palsy is fully curable.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

Bell's palsy refers to the paralysis of the face on one side, which is most commonly caused by a viral infection (herpes).

It is fully curable and it is not a dangerous disease.

Treatment consists of medications such as steroids (prednisolone), acyclovir (anti-viral medication) and vitamin supplements. In addition, physiotherapy with facial exercises and electrical stimulation of the facial nerve are also needed.

Usual recovery takes about one month.

Normal diet and activity can be continued during this period. However, very cold items such as ice creams, of fridge items should be avoided during this period.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
