Question: Hi, i don't know how this works or if you can even help me online. I have been trying to get an appointment with a psychiatrist for almost a year so I'm hoping my issues can be resolved in this manner. I would like to get tested for ADHD, it has always effected my life, but I have never been diagnosed. It is starting to effect my new job and that is why I am in such a hurry to do something about it. Can I get tested and helped online or do I need to continue waiting for a psychiatrist in person?

Brief Answer:
In-person clinical assessment is essential.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

In order to make a diagnosis of ADHD a detailed history and a proper clinical assessment by a Psychiatrist is essential. This can be done only with an in-person appointment with a Psychiatrist.

Though some online tests are available, these are not reliable and it would be mandatory to see a Psychiatrist for the correct diagnosis to be made. Moreover, in case you need to be prescribed any medication, then again, it becomes essential to see the doctor in person.

So, I would advise you to wait for your appointment with a Psychiatrist for a detailef clinical assessment.
