Brief Answer:
HI Sorry to hear about your accident...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry to hear about your accident.

You have already visited a Plastic Surgeon and he has done the suturing as you say. The sutures re normally removed after 5-6 days depending on the type of injury. Along with the cuts which have been sutured there would be abrasions also which is what I think is peeling off.

Since the injury is pretty new, it will take a few days for the scabs to fall off once the wounds under have healed. Please continue the creams or ointments prescribed by your plastic surgeon.

Once all the sutures are removed and the scabs have fallen off, there are bound to be pinkish areas on the face where the wounds happened. Just follow the orders of your plastic surgeon and use a sunscreen regularly to prevent the marks from getting dark.

The whole healing process takes 3-6 months. During that time please use the creams provided by your plastic surgeon and a sunscreen.

Once all the scars have healed and settled ( after 6 months) you can reassess any scars or deformities left behind and then appropriate action can be taken at that point of time.

For now to minimise scarring, keep it clean, use the proper medicines prescribed and use a sunscreen.

Wishing you a speedy recovery
