Question: I am taking 30 mg for anxiety and depression for 1 year, prior I took Celexa 2 yrs .Th Paxil works well but have had Post Accute Withdrawl......8 months sober. I don't really want to take valium to combat the PTSD symptoms that are occuring during my working of the 12 Steps (step 4, in particular) Can I up the Paxil to 45mg and no valium ? XXXXXXX

I would increase your Paxil to 40mg, wait a week, then increase to 50mg, wait another week, and then increase to 60mg. You can stop this if you experience side effects or if you achieve the desired effect. The bottom line is Paxil can be increased to as high as 60mg to combat PTSD symptoms, and is more effective in the long term than Valium.
