Suggest Tests To Diagnose Typhoid
Question: Hi,
My mother was suffering from very high fever from last 5 days, doctor had changed her medicines 3 times, but fever dint come down. Then her blood test was conducted, and her TLC - 5500/Cumm, DLC- ploymorphs-65%, lymphocytes-320%, monocytes - 01%, eosinophills - 02%. Doctor mentioned that it is a high probability of Typhoid, and started the medicines immediately for Typhoid. Since her fever has dropped down with these medicines, doctor confirmed it to be typhoid without any further test, and asked to eat these medicines continuously for 12 days. She is very weak, and is having trouble in sleeping. Is this diagnosis right?
