Brief answer..given below
Detailed answer..
Hello,
Thanks or the query.
I have read your question and would like to state that most of the questions asked have same answer.
A  PCR test looks for the virus or the viral genetic material and becomes positive at the earliest. This test generally becomes positive around 1 to 3 weeks after the exposure.
Other tests look for the antibodies and take few 4 to 12 weeks to become positive because antibodies take time to develop after the exposure.
So if you want to be tested at the earliest, then go for PCR test at 2 weeks after the history of exposure, however in general PCR test are not done routinely because they are very expensive.
in general the most initial test to be performed for hepatitis b are HBs Ag,anti HBs and IGm anti HBc while for hepatitis c we do HCV antibodies test.
I hope it helps, however you may revert to me or any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
