Brief Answer:
Any would be OK, try lactulose

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

stool softeners usually act only locally (in the intestine) and won't interfere with the liver. A safe and easy to use stool softener is lactulose. 15-60mL per day can be used. The patient should start with the low dose and titrate upwards as needed.

I hope I've helped!
