Brief Answer:
Oral contraceptive pills with condom.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

I can certainly understand your concern, though.

There are so many methods for contraception in young females. Oral contraceptive pills (combined or progestin pills), barrier method, IUCD, vaginal ring and implant.

In my view, she should go for low dose combined oral contraceptive pills with a condom. Combined oral contraceptive pills are not available over the counter. She should contact a gynecologist for a prescription. Condom however is easily available over the counter.

Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more questions.

Good luck.
Regards
Dr.Richa

Brief Answer:
Condom if used properly is quite effective.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Nice to hear from you again though.

You should consult a gynecologist and take the prescription for the tablet since contraceptive pill are not over the counter medication.

With perfect use of condom failure rate is only 2% means it is a really effective means of contraception if used properly.

Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more.

Good luck.

Brief Answer:
Frequent use of I-pill is not recommended.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for the delay in my response.

Frequent use of I-pill is not recommended because they contain high dosages of hormone in it, which may cause menstrual irregularities.

She should consult a gynecologist and take low dose oral contraceptive pill.

Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more.

Good luck.
