Suggest Remedy For Variation In Oxygen Levels

default
Posted on Thu, 20 Nov 2014
Question: Hopefully, I was treated for educational infusion, and my oxygen level was running 86-88. After draining the sack and 4 months later, my oxygen levels run between 93-97. After exertion, they run between 89-92. I am an obese 58 year old male, smoking 5-7 cigarettes per day. There is still evidence of water on the heart, but not symptomatic. Do my oxygen levels seem OK? Thanks, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Looks fine, though little lower post exercise

Detailed Answer:
If I have understood correctly You had been suffering pericardial effussion and it was treated by aspiration. Things looks on positive trend and improving. How are your lungs, is there any fluid on lungs as well? Or any infection in lungs as heart issue alone can not give raise to such oxygen abnormality in general. Please get back to me with your detailed echo, x-ray and any other blood test reports if done.
